Design Software

Throughout the course of any project, the company utilises the latest computer technology.  Members of the company's staff have been sent to UK and have attended training courses on the use of our computer packages.  Highway design, structural analysis, computer aided design and project management are the main functions catered for.  Specialised software has also been developed within the firm for more specific requirements such as piling foundation design and concrete quality control.

The firm currently utilises the following specialist design software:

• PDS Highway Design Programme by Elstree Computing.

• CADS RC Structural engineering programme for analysis and design work by CADS (UK).  Can perform 3D modelling of frame, shell and plate elements including finite element analysis.  Dynamic analysis with response spectrum in accordance with EU, UK and Cyprus Standards.

• STAAD III Structural engineering programme by Research Engineers (UK) which can perform 3D analysis and design of structures consisting of members and finite elements.  Dynamic analysis of complex structures is one of its capabilities.  The same programme has various display and draughting facilities.

• hypersteel, by CADS of UK, an AutoCad based 3-D modelling and design package for design and detailing of structural steelwork.

• HoloSTATIKA xp  Structural Engineering programme developed in Athens specific to meet the Cyprus Seismic Code for Reinforced Concrete Structures.  Carries out dynamic analysis of space frames.

• STATICS Structural Engineering programme developed in Athens specific to meet the Cyprus Seismic Code for Reinforced Concrete Structures.

• SP-VAK Structural Engineering programme by V&K Engineering Services (Greece) which can perform design of r.c. structures in accordance with the latest Cyprus Codes for Seismic Design and RC Design (CYS 159:Part1).

• WinDes- Drainage Design for Windows by Micro Drainage Ltd.
  To design storm and foulwater drainage systems
